"My Studio" tab is missing

by Daniel Foust · in Torque 3D Professional · 05/17/2011 (9:25 pm) · 2 replies

Hey there, I've just purchased Torque 3D for a two-person studio, but the "My Studio" tab where I'm supposedly able to assign accounts is nowhere to be seen. I believe I purchased the Studio License for Torque 3D, though it never specifically asked me which one I wanted to buy. I assumed (perhaps foolishly) it was the Studio License.

Have I made some kind of terrible error and bought the wrong license? If so, is there a way to fix this without buying the engine again?

Also, sorry if this has been addressed before. I didn't see a search button anywhere.

The Studio licensing was done away with with the TorquePowered shutdown and reactivation of GarageGames.

They simplified the license actually, and even with the old Studio license model you still would have needed two licenses for two users.

"Full source, no royalties, one price" ...one user, non-transferable.

You would have had to purchase two licenses to have a spare one to 'assign' to another studio member. Studio licensing was stopped though when IA took a nosedive. If you have just purchased T3D then its a normal single user PRO license, as you have not got 'default studio name' under your name tag.
