Introductions: Matt Wood - New Web Dev
by Matthew Wood · in General Discussion · 05/10/2011 (4:18 pm) · 17 replies
Hey Howdy Hey, just introducing myself to everyone. My name is Matt Wood and I am the new web dev. I have started cleaning up the site and will be introducing some overall improvements soon including a new server with far better up time.
I'll be hanging out in the Site Feedback forum a lot so head on over there if you want me to take a look at anything, even if you want to make some suggestions. Or just leave them here.
I've been in games for several years and am looking forward to expanding our web-based technologies and improving your guys' experience.
Thanks,
Matt

Search is a definite must have or you'll never hear the end of the ongoing complaints.
Just about anything on the site wishlist thread would be good to have once stability is ensured and the more obvious bugs are fixed.
And welcome!

When you add code or a directory address with backslashes
eg:
and then post comment/blog/resource, if I then edit it, the backslashes are removed in the edit preview/posting text. So you get:
Only happens on backSlashes - forwardSlashes are fine.

It's this report here. When you add code or a directory address with backslashes
eg:
C:\Torque\Torque 3D Pro 1.1 Preview\My Projects\New Project\game\art\gui
and then post comment/blog/resource, if I then edit it, the backslashes are removed in the edit preview/posting text. So you get:
C:TorqueTorque 3D Pro 1.1 PreviewMy ProjectsNew Projectgameartgui
Only happens on backSlashes - forwardSlashes are fine.

We're happy to have you on-board! You've already proven yourself to be invaluable. I can't wait to see the community reaction to the hard work you've been doing!

We keep him chained to his desk. :)

And we're only kind of half joking with that. The pile of stuff on Matt's plate has been so big lately that he hasn't even able to take part in community hour.
