iT2D 1.4.1 - Odd image map behaviour - CANNOT REPRODUCE
by Alistair Lowe3 · in iTorque 2D · 03/23/2011 (7:23 am) · 7 replies
Build: 1.4.1 Release
Platform: Windows 7 64-bit
Target: Editors
Issues: When following the FishDemo tutorial, once all fish animations have been created. Clicking the Level Datablocks editor breaks the AngelFish1 cell configuration and the animation becomes misaligned until the imagemap is reopened and saved. This issue repeats and closing and reopening iTorque doesn't help. However, adding the remaining datablocks and then fixing the image map prevents the issue from re-occurring.
Steps to Repeat:
1. Run TGB editor.
2. Follow the Aquarium Tutorial
3. The issue occurs as you go to add the remaining fish datablocks
Suggested Fix: Witchdoctor

I ran into this once during the first cycle, before the release of the Preview build. I wasn't able to reproduce it at all after encountering it. How often have you been able to reproduce it?

I'm struggling beyond that first project, when I have a moment I'll fully retrace my steps to see if it's purely random or not.

I was not able to reproduce this. Any further details?

Sorry no, it seemed at the time this was definitely a bug but was impossible to reproduce a second time on affected systems.

Still an infuriating one to reproduce. I still have it happen once in the cycle and then it's not reproducible ever again. I'll be trying a couple more things, but (as much as I hate to say it) this one may be getting resolved as possible known issue.

Still hate this one, still a pain to repro. The positive side here is that normally it occurs at the beginning of each QA Cycle, but it hasn't happened at all during this cycle. That's not saying it's dead and buried, but the likelihood of hitting has probably lessened. Unfortunately this one will have to be filed under "Weird flukes you might run into when the planets are aligned just right" for 1.5.
