this is getting a little ridiculous you spend good money to buy a engine then there no support for the latest platforms. ive searched high and low on these foruma and no exporter seems to exists or the so called links to one are dead. seems i wasted 100 dollars. even torque support hasnt returned my email what a crock

I would suggest using COLLADA. T3D is built around support for collada as it is relativly universal among 3D apps, and will ultimately eliminate the dependency on exporters.

Your purchase should have also included a DAEtoDTS exporter. to convert your collada to dts format if you need it.

There's actually some good info in the included Documentation about collada. and if you do a search you should be able to find a lot of helpful discussions on using collada for art assets in Torque 3D.

Anyway I hope that helps!

I Hope to agree with Demone..& if we ever get 1.1 final, I just might be able to make a judgment there.

For now..there has yet to be a final release of T3D where the majority of the DTS features are supported in the DAE2DTS pipe. T3D 1.0.1 lacks major DAE2DTS support and the ex-head developer has admitted it. Each export format still has it's benefits over the other...and *supposedly* 1.1 may clear that out.

However, bedroom/hobby devs may not find these things to be a problem. To each his own.

// MidMarch 2011..where's the 1.1 ?

haha its always been about exportability....Now i see the reason why a person should never pay huge price tags for software thats not complete ...that includes bloatware such as Max! Over the years i have seen so many tools fail all for the simple fact of the underlying export issue! Yet still continues today!

No wonder Game Companies are dying!!!!! THEY CANT EVEN ADMIT THEIR SOFTWARE HAS EXPORT ISSUES!!! I see these issue across every forum of every game creation software.

So do you still wanna make games?????????????? This is the question i ask or do you still wanna feed those so called fatcats!!!!!!!?????

I'm sick of pink cotton candy!
It makes me look fruity when I walk around with a stick of pink cloud-like sugary goodness!

Manly colors like dark green, brown and blue would be better!
Do you want fruity colors ???????????? or to look like a man when you eat cotton candy ?!?!?! Let's eat enough of it and become fat.

@eb - Nice =)

@LordMoggy - You are making a lot of assumptions about the new GarageGames. I know you are new around here and probably going off old information, but things are changing. We've turned a corner. I think it's best that you calm down just a little bit. We would really appreciate it.
