Come and check out Blood Clans! We are now in alpha testing and need people to try it out and tell us if you have any trouble with the installation or getting on the game in general. This is a web-based multi-player T3D game with seven levels up and running. We have several more levels nearly complete!
The game is a FPS/RPG set on a world called Aureus(R-E-Us). A group of explorers from Earth set out to find a new planet to colonize and this is it! You start your adventure aboard the orbiting spaceship Magellan and must fight your way past several berserk defense droids to make it off the ship to the planet below. Unfortunately, your first stop is a wet, rainy bog full of nasty little bomb toting Boglins. They're fun to spear tho...taste like chicken! Here's a screenie...once on the planet the game takes on more of an ancient world flavor. Rather primitive weapons, ancient styled buildings etc.
The game will be ran in 2 week long 'rounds', the object of the game is to have the highest Total Estate at the end of the round. Winners get bonus in-game money called Arns and the top winner gets land in the game. Once you have enough land you get your own house!
There are 6 kingdoms to choose from and you can create a clan or join an existing one or you can go it alone if you're the lone-wolf type. There will be raids on kingdom treasuries, several quests that raise your 'Skull Level', and most of the fun RPG elements you'd expect!
So far there's a create account/log-in system, installer, streaming and an updater but we don't have a lab full of computers to test compatibility issues with all the windows platforms and browsers when installing and trying to get on the game etc.
I'd be very grateful to any of you who would drop by, create an account, log-in and play a few levels and give a report here on your experience or any difficulties you have getting on. We need the info!
We hope to be in beta in the next 30 days or so. Maybe 60, we'll see.
Some of the things left to do:
The rest of the levels (10 more roughly)
Custom GUI - both game and web
More complete chat system
Magic system
Ridable horses and boats
Custom Avatars (MACK/FACK)
Day/Night/Weather system
Web based stats fixes
Fishing
Thanks in advance!

Hey thanks for checking it out and for the suggestions Twisted. And the AI are better than not too bad, they're great thanks to you! Several others around here have a had a big hand in the overall look and feel and the mechanics. Eric Smith and Guy Allard have done the bulk of the programming and I think we've included just about everything RRGTS and Arteria have made available. Lots of stuff from 3DRT, CubixStudio and DexSoft too. We have AFX installed but haven't put it to work yet, soon very soon. It's all great stuff so I hope we do it justice going forward.

But for sake of testing, keep an eye on your security software (firewall and/or antivirus), cause it might block update of the game (which was an issue in my case).

Thumbs up from my side also. Very good performance and overall quality. Really like the way that project started up in my eyes. But for sake of testing, keep an eye on your security software (firewall and/or antivirus), cause it might block update of the game (which was an issue in my case).

Still need more testers though so please feel free to come in and give it a whirl!

Thanks Vlad, it was nice chatting with you on the game and getting some of your feedback! I still haven't come up with those 2 words you mentioned but I did fix the annoying woman in the ship...lol. For everyone else's info Vlad is using Outpost firewall which blocks the updates as does Avast at this point unless you turn them off temporarily so we'll have to try to figure that out if we can.Still need more testers though so please feel free to come in and give it a whirl!

Update: We have 10 levels up now! If you haven't had a chance you should really stop in and see how thigs are shaping up. The game shows off Torque's multi-player capabilites quite well I think. We could really use the feedback at this critical point too!

This Sunday, May 1st at 4pm CST we're going to have a Battle Royale between opposing clans to test a few more things on the game. We are going to give free lifetime memberships to the first 100 people who sign up and join the battle. Come in today or tomorrow so we can help you get set-up and ready to play, especially important if you want to create your own clan. We have room for only 5 more clan forts at this time and they're first come first serve. You'll have to talk directly to me to get the free lifetime membership so look up James Boyer when you get on. If you don't find me there live send me a telegram, I may be on a different level.

Update: 14 complete, populated levels are now up and running on only 2 servers. Of course, this won't fly when we get busy but it's a good demonstration of what you can do if you have to. You can jump from level to level across the servers etc. Our web server is on a separate server from the level servers and our client download, updater and streaming come from a 2nd location altogether to keep bandwidth usage available for the game itself. If you haven't checked it out yet you should! We'd love to get the feedback...

Thanks! I just noticed a statement I made in the OP. "We hope to be in beta in the next 30 days or so. Maybe 60, we'll see." LOL, it's been 7 months since then and we're STILL not in beta...verrrry close though!

I'm actually very impressed with this. All the systems seem to be working well, and the levels and art look very good (and the AI isn't too bad either ;) ).
I really liked the atmosphere, especially of the second level and was impressed with the detail of the levels. I was also happy about how well it ran. I had no technical problems with the game. My only suggestion is that the game could provide the player with more direction, both in the sense of the player's in game objective and in how to actually play the game (control wise).
My system specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel Core2 Duo CPU - E8400 @ 3.00GHz
3GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT - 1GB
This should help you with your testing. I encourage everyone to try and test this out. Blood Clans looks like it's going to be a good.
