Torque & GameSpy Technology

With the free release of GameSpy's SDKs to indie developers (http://www.poweredbygamespy.com), will GG be looking at making use (in T3D, etc) of their industry-proven and highly cross-platform suite of online technology for games?

I've used Game Spy SDK in a game made with TGEA before, the Net punch through and Master Server Tech in their SDK is SUPERB. In term of connectivity, it's a lot better than Steam SDK and XBox Live SDK and extremely easy to integrate to Torque Tech.

Seeing that they are now open to indie, I will definitely come up with a game to use their tech.

To follow up with this thread, it seems that my old account on http://www.poweredbygamespy.com is still active. Once I can come up with a game concept to use game spy sdk, I'll release the code that you need to integrate Game Spy SDK with GG engine.

Gamespy has been emailing me to try using the free code now.
It would be interesting to see how it is working for you.
Maybe I can re-purpose my old multiplayer T3D game to use it.

Well Gamespy has a drag and drop multiplayer matchmaking kit for Unity, without any programming needed. A simple addon package, and it is working without scripting it into the game. If someone was to develop this for T3D they could sell it too. So if anyone has integrated it into their T3D they should consider it. Or even GG, you guys might think about it.
