where's the water foam?

Water foam and whitecaps are almost invisible. I've seen this discussed here before but I can't find even that thread. Nor do I see a bug report for it. Is this a bug for all or just certain video cards?

Is the water going to be restored to its former glory???

I can get some image of whitecaps by increasing Opacity to 4 or 5 but thats all across the water body. I mean foam where the water intersects the shore and any other objects. Do we have a collision problem? And what does display looks lacking to me, compared to what the water looked like in prior versions of T3D. Is the water going to be restored to its former glory???

Are you using Basic Lighting or Advanced Lighting? Water appears very differently between the two.

Last I checked, foam wasn't working for any settings in 1.1 Beta 3. I can do a quick re-check, but it's been broken since 1.01a, IIRC.Dusty

Dusty and Steve thanks for the confirmation.
Guess I should submit it as a bug and hope it gets in the "final" release.

Its just the settings "sensitivity" changed for lack of a better word to think of for it lol... these are taken in 1.1b3

It looks like what you have there is whitecaps on steroids. Notice they appear all across the surface? Here is what it used to look like, remember?[image]

We used to have some very nice foam along the terrain intersections with all water objects and after 2 days tweaking all the variables it's impossible to get anything except the "steroidal whitecap' mentioned above.

I'll throw my hat in the "it's not working" ring as well.We used to have some very nice foam along the terrain intersections with all water objects and after 2 days tweaking all the variables it's impossible to get anything except the "steroidal whitecap' mentioned above.

After looking back at an old project I also would have to say that the current implementation is busted - foam definitely isn't appearing as nicely as it used to.

its funny to see foam looking prettier in the free Demo than in the pro engine ;)
