A few questions...

Good morning all,

Have come back to TGEA to at least prototype - and ideally realize - a game design I've been working on for some time now and am ready to push forward with.

I have a license for TGEA and so I'm working with that (1.8.2 for reference). Having seen others' works with it, I know it's fully capable of it and, frankly, I rather still like the look of TGEA. I don't buy into the whole "it must have cutting edge tech or it's not good enough" thing. Solid, detailed artwork, good aesthetic design and fun, solid gameplay win out any day in my book... but that's another topic..

Anyway, being more the graphics/artsy type, I'm currently working seeing how I can establish the "look" I'm going for for a few different environments in the game. This will greatly help in creating the prototype and conveying the look I'm going for.

I'm hitting a couple road bumps currently and am hoping the more knowledgable folks might be able to help out.

Before I proceed, I have searched the forums, read through the documentation and did some experimenting on my own in the editor, but could not find or discover the information I was looking for. Could be there's somewhere I didn't look or was unaware of.

So on to the questions...

1. Foliage replicator...
Two part question here.
1-1) Is it possible to control the elevation/altitude at which foliage will appear? I tried finding some such setting, but couldn't find one.
1-2) In trying to "tweak" the area of coverage, I somehow goofed something up and the foliage went from covering a large area (completely inside the boundaries), and shrunk down to a really small little area in the very center of it that would change only slightly in radius when I resized it again. I had to re-load my mission file to restore it. Any reason anyone knows of why it would do that? Does the radius of a foliage replicator not like to be messed with too much once it's set?

2. skyGlow:
1) I have looked up info on this as well, and have done the obvious thing of enabling the checkbox then setting different colors... but to no avail. I've even set it to some pretty obnoxious, garish colors just to make the difference obvious.. but still nothing.

I'm definitely on a system that can handle it if it's a pixel shader effect (running a 460GTX NVidia card), so that's not the limitation. Is there something else I should be looking into?

That's my questions for now...

Thanks in advance for any help :)

So, have tried finding other sources to figure out the things I asked here, but to no avail. YouTube, Google, Vimeo, here... and so on. No dice.

There has to be *some* resource somewhere that explains this stuff... :-/
