Questions about Torque2D and iTorque2D

by Bob Lawson · in General Discussion · 02/01/2011 (12:13 pm) · 6 replies

Okay so I've downloaded the demo version of Torque2D, and so far so good.

My question is in order to make games/apps for the iPhone/iPad do I need both Torque2D and iTorque2D?

Thanks for the help!!

Bob

@Bob - If you want to make games only for iOS, you just need iTorque 2D. If you want to make games only for Windows, OSX, and Web, you just need Torque 2D. If you want to make games for all of the platforms, you need a license to both engines.

I have a question regarding this. For iOS development does iTorque 2D include the same WYSIWYG editor found in Torque 2D?

Thought I would clarify Mich's post. T2D does not have web platform support.

Torque 2D and iTorque 2D use different project templates, so the project will not load correctly. However, most of the scripts will work out of the box with iT2D.
