Blog count doesn't match number of comments left

If you take a look at Eric's blog that is over 100, it shows a counter at the top and also on the Blog page. This doesn't reflect the same number of comments left.

I'll let Anthony know about it, may be like that for a bit though. There a few high priority ones he's finishing up with.
Also, I'm blaming Mich because he has the last post in that thread. =P

Hmm, curious. I see what you're talking about now that I'm at the office. My last post was when I was from home and on that machine everything was matching up. Currently seeing 185 in the blog listing on the blog itself but with 186 actual.I'll let Anthony know about it, may be like that for a bit though. Trick of the eye and you can miss it :) Glad you can see it now. Probably too many posts at the time of checking. I had to double check it a few times.

May be when you moved servers? Initial ID for the record was probably set to 0 instead of 1 or the other way round, perhaps counts the first blog post by the author or something

That's a possibility, and if that's the case that might explain why it's not seen on the other blog posted today. Mine and Joe's comments were originally in that other thread but we deleted them and moved them to the other before the push. Then the old phantom comment bug had to be manually corrected for that thread.

This should be fixed now. Note that if for some reason a comment is deleted it will throw it off again, but that's a separate issue unto itself. Shouldn't be a problem though since someone has to really cross the line for that to happen now. Or if I do something stupid and respond to a thread from one of my test accounts again.

Good stuff. Probably worth keeping deleted threads, just make them not shown. This way you have legal proof if someone really causes an issue on the site.
