So, what's going to happen to Marble Blast Online? Anyone willing to host/remake it?
Some of us eagerly await a return of this classic.

Marble rolling games have been around for ages... I think the first one I played was on the Amiga, and I've seen many derivatives since. So surely there is an alternative for those who need their marble fix.

Well, I meant an online alternative. If I wanted an offline alternative, I'd probably find a copy of MB for iPad.Hopefully one of you guys will bring it back.

I think they won't do anything official soon, they are going to focus on the engines now. But I'd like to have it back too.

I'd pay $30 for it if they re-released it.

I'd pay 30€ if it was also integrated in Steam, with lots of updates going on and new features.

So wait, who the hell has the rights then? Why don't the owners make a new version?

IAC holds all the rights to anything IA, with the exception of what GarageGames, LLC acquired and a few other games the original developers negotiated (Lore, Ace of Aces, etc).

As the article said:Quote:Rights to its games are still property of InstantAction Holdings

I don't think this is legal. I paid $10 for the game originally, and now I'm being told I can no longer pay it. I paid for the license, yet, but there was no definitive date on which the license could be stripped away from me.

I would recommend reading through the XBLA policies on games that are removed from the store. You can contact Microsoft for more information on your rights as a digital consumer using their service.

Also not gonna happen. IAC owns the Marble Blast IP.
