Using unmount as autoeject

Excuse me, is it possible to convert the unmount command so when a vehicle gets destroyed the player or A.I NPC vehicle gets destroyed the player or NPC get's thrown at least 20-50 meteres or feet into the air? and I want to do a Battlezone style R.T.S like Battlezone (98) or Battlezone 2 and I have heard that you can do this with Torque? is this true, for if it is I will buy it. I wish to apologise as well forposting this thread in the Realm Wars forum , this is the forum I should have posted this question in.

I think I know what you are asking. I would say yes. I did this this morning to make sure I could do it. I really didn't change the unmount command. I unmount the player on vehicle destroyed and apply an impulse to the explosion of the vehicle. So to answer your question.

Yes with the mounting & unmounting vehicle code snippit from Badguy and the Impulse code snippit from Matt Webster and a little bit of logic.

Only thing is that you have to make sure that your mass for everything is set high enough. If not and it gets hit by the impulse (Then Torque crashes) Being careful you should have no problem.

Here is the thread describing the potential problem

Fanatastic Michael,my $100 is on it'sway to Garage games, after all I wasted $100 on 3D RAD and that is a total disaster although the concept and idea is brilliant but nowI am definately buying and my games Solar Dominion and Astro Warrior will be made with Torque
