Lagging in Tilemaps on the XBOX 360

I have a really big tile map in one of my levels. Basically it is a top down shooter and in in some areas it lags on the XBOX. I have lighting enabled on all of the tiles. I also have a point light on my character.
The weird part about it is that in most areas its fine. But when the player enters certain areas it lags and when the player leaves that area its fine.
I cannot find a difference between the lag area and the non lag area.
Has anybody encountered something like this?
The only thing I can think of is that my tile map is 100x100. Is that too big?

The thing is that the 'rooms' and the 'walls' are all in the tile map. I might just make the rooms and set up the collisions manually.
