Hey all,
I noticed that the indie games section has been moved to "speciality shops" and was wondering what are everyone’s general thoughts: concerned or happy?

A lot of people are unhappy about that over at the AH forums. But only time will tell. Radiangames posts all of his sales on his blog. He is a consistent seller so if his go down you can bet that everybody's will go down.

Hmm they've removed the "rate" feature as well..seems odd even for XBLA and XB titles

I noticed that too, and I had thought they removed the Indie Market from xbox live until I found the games in the "Specialty Shop".
I think it will initially slow down sales until people figure it out, and then potentially increase sales in the long run. I like the longer lists :-)
--- The "UPGRADE" ---
Does anyone else think most of the new graphics for the upgrade are lacking artistic quality? I like the clean white look on the dashboard, but almost everything else, specially a lot of the "settings area" graphics look horrible. The B button looks like puke on most of the backgrounds.
I seriously laughed at the "Tutorial", looked like some noob artist like myself made it. Seriously its horrible!
I see a lot of forums posting stuff like "New update looks like crap"

They managed to make it look less snazzy than it already was. Straight edges and sharp 90 degree corners looks like crap. The whole zune, media center menu system Microsoft keeps holding on to is terrible.

Within the layout I'm sure they are listing more items on the "new contents" than the previous version. As well as the "top downloaded" and "recommends" section, cool they've added that as newer games wont be "pushed off" like the last listing as it was too short.
General interface overall is a bit "undefined" but hey if they list more items on the indie channel thats gotta be a good thing.
Only prob is its listed as その他のストア "other items store" what's it called in US ? doesn't sound very appealing in Japanese "other shit n that".
Still, Im glad they've made the lists longer or mebbe Im just imagining it ><
