Bad TGB DirectX code?

by Quentin Headen · in Hardware Issues · 10/22/2010 (12:01 pm) · 0 replies

Hey everyone! I have TGB 1.7.5 and it is working very well. I am using it on OpenGL though and when I switch it to DirectX, my screen starts blinking and a message comes up on my Windows 7 machine saying that my video driver had crashed and has fully recovered. My screen will still keep blinking as long as the TGB window is up and is using DirectX.

I want to try to reach as many people possible with my game, and I know that GL is on pretty much all systems, but some publishers might frown on a OpenGL only game (IDK, I never published a game before).

On TGB 1.7.4, I did the same thing, but this time I got a blue screen of death. So are there any updates to the DirectX graphics code for TGB? A good thing about Torque 3D and TGEA is that the OpenGL and DirectX graphics code is kept seperate for better updating. But TGE and TGB uses a conversion code that converts OpenGL calls to DirectX. I don't think this code has been updated much, but I could be wrong.

So are there any solutions for this problem?

Thanks
