Community Helpers

Have you guys thought about employing some community support helpers on the forums for each product and who know them fairly well? Perhaps part-time, evenings (paid or volunteers who get recognition or compensation in other ways - product discounts). It does appear to be a bit quiet around here lately (staff and users), with only the regulars posting worthwhile things and quite a few posts not being answered. I'm sure it would help to make the products stronger and increase site usage - keeping the momentum going. Just an idea - I've done this in the past with a forum and it has been successful - most of the staff seem really busy on the development of products at the moment and it would reduce pressure.
Maybe Ian could answer this if this is part of his job description.

yeah, think its a good move for the general forums.. Torque would be known for good support for Indies and Hobbiest devs. Paid support should always be for commercial studios who can afford the big bucks. Torque known for awesome support - I'd vote for that! :)

Paid support should be available to people who have paid for the engine and need additional help. Sometimes you just need a few hours time from a real expert to solve a issue.

I doubt they'd have the resources unless a few hours of bundled time would be thrown into the engine, or at least charge a reasonable rate with some allocated devs for this purpose.
