T3D 1.1 beta 3 Question: Textured Collision Mesh? - Resolved

Something that I've noticed with beta 3 (and 2) was that collision meshes now have textures ... any particular reason for this?
Something to do with collada? Or minimizing console spam?
Just wondered as it would appear unneccessary on face value ...

edit:
It's the difference between COLLADA and straight DTS importing ... that is all.

And I think the answer is ... without a texture/material the Shape Editor just shows the bounds of the collision mesh because the mesh is invisible, but with one it shows the actual mesh in shape editor ... thus allowing you to check whether it's sitting correctly in the mesh.
