IFL animations (as well as morph, and UV animation) have been deprecated from T3D. You can use the new animated Material features to achieve a similar effect in most cases.

Chris,
thank you for your fast reply.
In fact I think that the "animated Material" feature cannot provide the functionality I need. I mean I have a shape with three sequences. Two of the sequences use texture animation (IFL). The animated material does not provide switching between the different texture animations. This is what I need.

The animated material just turns on the texture animation on a certain shape. There is no option to set a certain amount of frames to refer to a certain sequence. Therefore there is no option to change the texture animation via sequences later during the gameplay. Is there any hint to achieve this? My shape uses both transform and texture animations in its sequences.

Uhm.. really this seems to be something that can be annoying in some case...

I think it's something that really needs a solution!

Why was .ifl deprecated for material animation ? That's simply a poor decision!
..will you guys plz talk with artists before making these decisions ?

I remember that in past TGE supported image sequences for particle animation. It was a very useful feature, but it was removed in TSE/TGEA.
Now it seems that image animations are entirely removed in T3D 1.1+.
And this is very bad for the artists.
I decided to not move to versions above 1.0.1 because of that.

P.S. I would like to point out that IFL is an invaluable feature to almost any kind of animations. In our current game development we use almost everywhere a combination of transform + IFL in our sequences to achieve a professional look of our characters and AIs.

Something more - it is impossible to achieve an animated glow in a certain set of frames of the sequence without an IFL support.

I really wouldn't like to get stuck to 1.0.1 and not to move to the newer versions but now I really have no choice.
