How do I keep the marble spinning in the air?

#1 Means that when you fall, you just need to press the correct keys to fall down on the platform below. In the level you talk about (Air Movement), you need to go forwards to fall, and while in the air, you need to press backwards to land on the platform below (and thus finish).

Now, this might confuse you, so ignore it if you do get confused: if you have your camera to the side and fall down with either LEFT or RIGHT keys (aka W/A, <-/->, 4/6 etc), you need to press the opposite directional key. If you have your camera backwards, then roll backwards to fall down and forwards to get back on the level.
