Forums w/ multiple stickies "lose" posts between pg1 & pg2

I posted this as part of the site updates bug report thread, but I figured it deserves its own post as it directly relates to the T3D forum which is in fairly heavy use right now.

Basically, a forum with a large number of stickies will "lose" posts from the index between pages 1 and 2. Specifically I'm talking about the T3D forum, which has half of the first page filled with stickies.

It appears that it's basically doing this:
-Page 1 displays ~10 stickies and threads 1-20.
-Page 2 displays threads 31-60.
-Threads 21-30 won't be displayed until they get pushed down to at least #31, or bumped back to #1 .

At least, that's what appears to be happening. I can't be sure this is actually the cause, but you can see that the main index is definitely putting some of the posts between page 1 and 2 into limbo. Forums without an array of stickies don't seem to be doing it.

You can get around this by selecting a specific "topic" in the forum, ie "T3D 1.1 Beta 2 Bugs," but this only works if the post has a sub-category tagged in the first place.

I'm noticing this too. Henry todd has posted this bug in multiple places and I'm wondering why no one's bothered to even respond.

Here's an easy way to see this problem.

Look at my profile. Click on one of my posts in the thread "Quit() Causing Crash in Beta2". You can pull up the thread with my last post from 8/29 in the T3D private forum.

Now, go to the T3D private forums directly. You'll notice this thread is nowhere to be found. The list of T3D threads ends at 8/30, and then the next page begins at 8/28. It's basically skipping an entire day's worth of threads when going from page 1 to page 2.

This needs to be fixed.

The main gate of all community communication, the very 24/7 doorway...

I have to agree with Sean on this one, it feels just like; oh but the engine is still running fine.
