Need Help!!! with sprites

Hi guys, Im new to the forum, I currently a game design student, and in the process of making my own game. As of right now I came up with a Game design Document for my game, the main characters and animation/attacks. This will be a 2D platform game and all of the characters and attacks where hand drawn. But currently I am at a crossroads, because I need help figuring how to import my hand drawn animation, and transfer them to sprites. At first I was decinding to scan my art and update thru adobe photoshop, and then create sprites, but i realize torque may be the best tool do assist this issue.
Please help me, I will truly appreciate it!!
