Importing T3D and TGE asset?..

by VcDeveloper · in Torque X 3D · 07/28/2010 (5:01 am) · 3 replies

I have both license versions of TGE and T3D. I have not tried it yet, but can X3D import these assests?

What assets? TX also uses DTS models and DSQ animations. It will read some of the Terrain files, depends on which version of TGE it was built with. It will not read the DIF solid models. You can probably look at TX3D as TGE lite or TGE Jr. It is very similar.

Ok Thanks! TGE 1.52, T3D 1.01

Neat! I have been wondering to what degree my Torque3D project could be directly portable to TX3D. I must admit, I am completely naïve about XNA and embarrassing as it is to say, I dont think I have even physically SEEN an Xbox. I know its hardware specifications and caveats, but thats about all. EDIT: And of course the details from the PRODUCT PAGE.

Henry, as someone I have grown to view as a expert TX3D user, would you be able to mention anything that may be a GOTCHA for a person in my position in regards to expanding my desktop game project into the TX3D world?
