Freezes and disconnects?

There are some performance issues that keep coming up that I would like some feedback on.
1) Not infrequently at the beginning of a game the game will stutter and pause, sort of jerk and then usually (after 15-30 seconds) work itself out.
2) The game will freeze (with green disconnect icon at top of screen) sometimes it will reconnect, sometimes I get logged out, sometimes I exit and reenter. The game has certainly progressed in my absence so it must be my connection with the server (I presume).
Is there something I can do to remedy that
It is episodic. Sometimes happening frequently, other times not at all.
I have a fairly healthy machine (G4 533 DP 640 MB, DSL through airport connection)
Is it me? Should I use Listerine?
3) I often don't see the ball on the radar after a new placement. It is off the radar for me, yet others are already racing towards it (I'll often have to use others direction as my guide initially) While sometimes I see the "drop" I can't believe others always rely on that.

I get that kind of disconnect with increasing frequency these days. maybe it has something to do with the increase in modem users and sync and such.

I have the same problem. But very offten. The game starts great sometimes for about 3 or 4 minutes. But then I get the Connection Picture flashing in my upper right. Your not alone. I've uppdated all drivers, closed my firewalls, no other no essentials running in background and I have an extremly fast premium modem and quite fast computer with a good deal of temp memory set up. I'm very confused as well. I wish I could help. But I'm still looking. if you find the problem, could you please E-mail Michael (me) at rescue31314@yahoo.comThanks.

I know your problem. when that happens its lag if its not too bad it will go away. if its way too much it has tooo restart the server.

I am having problems with this game freezing in any game i join. When i click cancel it won't and i have to restart the computer. thank's in advance

1 & 2) This doesn't happen on my low end ibook, so I'm guessing it's something specific to your machine. If you send an email to support@bravetree.com we can work with you to try to figure out what is going on. I'm wondering if it isn't your airport connection, though. Do you get similar results when hooked up by wire.
3) The radar is of limited range, so someone near you might have it on their radar even if you don't have it on yours. They might also be reacting to the site. In the new release, the radar range is unlimited (if something is off the current radar, it shows up on the edge of the new one, so you always have at least a direction).
