TX3D 3.1.5 Beta 2 - LOD on DTS doesn't work correctly?

Build: 3.1.5 Beta-2

Platform: Windows 7-64 (specs i7 920, nVidia GTS250 6GB ram)

Target: VS2008 pro, Xbox

Issues: Using DTS with more levels of detail lowers frame rate

Steps to Repeat:

1) Load BoomBot, according to ShowTool 4552 detail poly's however BoomBot has one LOD.

2) Check the frame rate, on my PC it's over 450.

3) Load Kork the Torque Orc. ShowTool says roughly half the polys: 2430, however the model I have has 8 levels of detail.

4) Check the framerate. Dropped to just over 225.

Suggested Fix:
Apparently along with no occlusion on the camera, somehow the renderer is also rendering or at least affected by the other LOD meshes. I do not know if the two things are related. But they are both things that seem related, rendering stuff you cannot see.
