I only want one material to show up in T3D.

I know I had problems with sketchup loading textures, but I never tried packing them into a single texture. It's been so long since I used sketchup. You may try looking at this thread for some ideas. Best of luck.

I just want to pack all the 8 materials into one UV Texture/Material rather than redo all the texturing and UV mapping in 3DMax.

Thanks, but it's not what I'm looking for.I just want to pack all the 8 materials into one UV Texture/Material rather than redo all the texturing and UV mapping in 3DMax.

You could always take the art into a modeling package and rework the UV's and export...

You'll need some 'other' 3D applications for this... This sort of remapping and combining of bitmaps and UV's is not so trivial...I know of only two programs that currently do this procedure. You could always take the art into a modeling package and rework the UV's and export...

What are those two programs that you speak of?

That's what I'm trying to avoid. What are those two programs that you speak of?

GreenbriarStudio's "ToolBox" has this feature as well.
How you get them working in your pipeline is the tricky bit...;)!

DAZ3D...has the "Texture Atlas" plugin which does exactly as I describe: combines bitmaps into a single bitmap and reassigns the UV coordinates to each particular 'section' of the combined bitmap.GreenbriarStudio's "ToolBox" has this feature as well.
