A few basic ?'s

Great game!
I enjoy it as do my sons age 17, 9 and 7.
The 7 year old is the best!
?'s:
1) Is there a science to aiming the purple ball power up? I see those circles but can figure out anything other shot at the target and hope they bounce right.
2) I've seen people over the mist valley on other "islands" Whats with that?
Can you jump there...not sure why one would . but curious.
3) What is skydiving? I have seen that listed on the server
4) I have no luck bouncing the ball off of another tank unless it is a full head on collision (light tank here). Yet others seem to snatch it away from me with barely a hit. Is there a tip or technique I'm missing... I'll be on a dead run and someone will snatch it from behind. Very frustrating.
5) Why do I get blocked by entering a game or continuing with a game with the message "Server connection timed out" (or something like that)
It happens sporadically.
6) Locked servers these are private games? Or those someone made with a password?
I'd appreciate ny insight any of you might have and I'll see you on the hills!

So, how do you do this "matrix"?

Unfortunatly no one can be told what the matrix is, you have to see it for yourself

1) Maybe not a science but an art form. Spread the balls out in a swath of destruction into the path of opponent tanks. Don't aim at the tank, aim somewhere between you and the tank so that the balls bounce across the terrain towards the tank. This weapon is highly effective on flat ground because your aim need not be so good. On slopes it takes a real art to bounce the balls correctly. Take a couple test shots to see how the balls bounce, then use that information to swarm the enemy with the bounce backs. Note: the bounce backs are the ThinkTanks version of mines. We think these are much more fun to play with (and less frustrating since you don't end up running over mines that someone dropped 2 minutes ago in a different battle).
2) This is a "feature" that we decided to leave in because it is more interesting than useful. Basically, some people have learned to use this feature to launch themselves into the air. Doesn't help in a game too much since it's hard to do, but it's pretty cool we think. I think of it as a Matrix style exploit. Some people have simply learned the rules of the Matrix.
3) See #2.
4) It's all in the delta. It's the difference in the velocity of the two vehicles that matters. If you are ramming a vehicle from behind that is running away, you won't be able to knock the flag off. If you hit a vehicle head on, you will. If you are standing still and someone rams you from behind, they will knock the flag loose. I'm guessing that people are having an easy time knocking the flag loose from any direction from you because you are sitting still at the time.
5) If a server is crowded the connection message might not go through before the time out period. You should be able to simply try again.
6) Yes, locked servers are password protected. We have one such server up permanently for the Scrum league run by a community member (Loler) and other people can start password protected servers too.
Hope that helps...keep knocking those brain jar's loose, it's the way to respect. :)
