Video card not detected problem. Help?!

by Oliver Noles · in Constructor · 06/07/2010 (12:10 am) · 4 replies

Hi,

I've been using Constructor for a while now, recently upgraded to Windows 7 and I can't run Constructor because it can't find my graphics card.

My video card is just an Intel integrated card (Old PC)
I'm not sure if it's the graphics driver problem or not, but Constructor is the only Torque App to not detect the card.

Constructor doesn't open at all, as noted in the Console.log, I get this:
Accelerated OpenGL display device not detected.
   Accelerated D3D device not detected.
Voodoo 2 display device not detected.

"D3D" display device not found!
"OpenGL" display device not found!
"D3D" display device not found!
"Voodoo2" display device not found!

Any thoughts on why Constructor can't recognize my card?

Have you installed the latest drivers from Intel for Windows 7? If so, then the W7 driver for that specific chipset may not be compatible.

I actually had to get a custom-made driver for my card, because Intel never released any official drivers for it.

It works fine on other Torque applications though, So I'm just wondering if it's possible to get Constructor to work too.

If you can get it to work, then great. But custom-made drivers go well beyond any support contract unless you are the card manufacturer and have engineering level paid support guidance.
