Do you still have to buy a license for TGEA source code?

by ChrisG · in Torque Game Engine Advanced · 06/06/2010 (10:23 pm) · 4 replies

We've been using TGEA in our game for awhile and looking at getting some new programmers in who don't have a TGEA license. I can't find where to purchase TGEA.

Do you still need to buy a license to edit the source code? If so where?

(No, we don't want to upgrade to Torque3D!)

@ChrisG - Yes, source code access still requires a license to stay within the bounds of the EULA. Unfortunately, we no longer sell TGE or TGEA licenses on our site.

Does anyone actually sell the licenses anymore or are we looking at a Catch-22 situation here?

@ChrisG - I believe the only places still distributing licenses are schools, but that is only for their students and class specific. No one is selling TGEA commercially.
