R.M.S. Olympic (1911) bugged as hell

by Dennis Lamers · in Torque Game Engine · 06/05/2010 (7:30 am) · 3 replies

I have worked my bones to my heart to make this beautiful ship. I gave up, Torque Constructor won't let me get it working. Some faces disappeared, I am asking my self. Is Torque Constructor a program to use? No, I go better use 3ds Max. There goes my hard work, if somebody want it. Fine I will release the constructor file. I hope this glitches will be fixed in the next version of Torque Constructor.

The problem is, you are trying to use constructor for something it was never intended to be used for. Constructor is for making interiors. (buildings) It's a bsp brush based geometry maker. For your ship, you would be better off using 3dsmax or DeleD, (free and opensourced) or some other poly modeling program.

Wow, that is some good looking work.

Try selecting the offending brushes and converting them to detail, also any small brushes near larger brush who are missing polys.

EDIT: I think Constructor have an option to export as a mesh, who you may load into a modeling app to continue your work.

@ Mike
I have made boats before but then on a different thing. I sliced circles and curved, and made a hull of a boat.
