Help reviewing

I hope I am not out of line asking this here. If I am I will not ask again :-)

I am about to put Zombie Sniper 3D back into review. It is one of the few games going on Indie games that uses the Torque X 3D engine so I want it to make a great impression.

I had it in playtest for a full month. During that time I got several great devs to playtest, but not as many as I would have liked. I put it in review because no one found anything bad in it. I have tried to test it all and had not found anything.

A tester found a problem if you purchased the game AFTER the 8 minute trial timed out. It wasn't really a fail, but I want good quality (don't judge my models, I am not a great artist :-), so I pulled the game from review and am suffering the 7 day waiting period. Well, I hope to put it back into review tomorrow. It has been back in playtest for the last 6 days and not a single person has playtested it.

I am concerned if I put it back into review that it will fail again because it just hasn't gotten a lot of testing.

I try to playtest other games and review some as well.

Can I call upon anyone here who is an Indie dev to please playtest Zombie Sniper 3D tonight?

When it does go into review I will post here and would love to also have you guys help me review it to get it on the market as a showcase of TX3D.

Did you put it back into playtest? I know I didn't play past the 8 minute trial but that's because I am was not that good at the game. What was the issue they had?

I'd be happy to help you playtest your game. Also please check out the Press A to Continue Forums,
www.xblig.co.uk/forums/index.php

If you register for the forums you will be able to see the Game Submissions and feedback section where people have posted a few indie games for testing.

@Henry: It has been back in playtest for the last week without a single playtest. The 7 days is up today, so I would like to submit it right now.

However, since you guys have expressed an interest in helping out I just put it back into playtest instead. Please pound the heck out of it today so I can submit it either tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks a ton!

I went over to that site you mentioned and registered. I got the activation email and did it. I then logged into the site and went to the forum to post my game for test. I can't seem to find a button or link anywhere to create a new post. I am sure it is obvious once you know, but it is sure well hidden. Either that or someone has to activate posting even after you activate your account.

I'll check on how the forum works and let you know. When you entered the Game Submission forum, was there not a New topic button on the top left?

So your account on the press A to continue forums needs to have a developer flag before you can make a new topic in the game submission forum. I'm hoping we can get that changed, what's your username? I'll have the admins set your account to developer.

Hey Tony, are you HotShot10101? We just added you to the developer group on Press A to Continue, all registered users should now be able to post topics in the Game Submissions forum as well.

I don't think it's a bad thing to post for review/playtest requests here. It kinda sucks that you can't do it on the XNA forums. But as long as it's a Torque product, I think it's good for the TorqueX XNA community to help each other along.

I've got visitors tonight, but hopefully I can get to it this weekend. If I don't catch it during the playtest window, I'll try to catch it in review.

Good luck!

Not a bad thing at all, we had that discussion on the XNA forums when someone posted on the JigLibX or some other forum and people who were not that involved got all worked up again.

Post it in the Current Torque Games thread and I will move it to the top when it's in review.
