Hey Joshua, I was going through the directions on the site for the T3D pro users and I'm a little confused on where I place the game .exe in the folder structure. Or if I was even to compile one from the template. If you could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it!

There should be a DLL compiled if you were using the earlier source version. I will post up some instructions once I get the source bit done and patched.

Just a quick overview on the kit. The kit is somewhat independent of the actual Torque products. You install all the needed dev files(based on the install instructions) so you can run the python of the kit(c:\tmmokit folder). The only time you actually use the Torque products is if you want to change anything source related. And that is by compiling the kit source version of the Torque product. It then compiles everything into a .pyd file which you then place in the kit(c:\tmmokit folder). There is already a compiled .pyd file in the kit directory so no need to touch the source most of the time since most of the kit is done using python. When you start adding resources and new features then that is when the source is touched.

I'm just curious, but if you are moving to another technology, you mean drop T3D? or do not use MMOKIT anymore and do something by yourself?

As Leathel said the kit is primary hooked *DEEPLY* into python and the engine actually runs as a dll (renamed to .pyd) directly from python. I believe there was another thread about doing it the other way (python inside of Torque). Also, if there is any confusion this is the same MoM MMO Kit put out by Josh E, just updated for T3D. A few things added here and there, but mostly the same.

We moved over to another product/tech altogether. There are some forum postings we made about our reasons behind that on mmorpgmaker.com and I really don't want to derail this thread over that discussion. Was the NSIS script file ever updated so that someone could create a client?

Yes, a new patching script was put in to properly pull down everything and the NSIS script works as well. If you find it doesn't work please post on mmorpgmaker.com and I will take a look.

A bump on this as I posted it elsewhere, but there is now a patch for the source code as well included. You will need the full blown version of course to apply the patch.--Josh

Sweet Great work Joshua, I have the westwood college school's game club running on this and it and the patching system appears to work great.

Updated the SVN location. Old one will be redirected to the new IP at some point here, but this one is current.
