Hi
Looking at purchasing Torque2D and wondered if you can publish for Android with it?

Cheers

@Zimzala - Thanks for the interest, but we do not have an engine that supports Android. The platforms TGB supports are:

- Windows
- OS X
- iPhone/iPad
- Xbox 360 (separate console license required)
- Wii (separate console license required)
- Facebook (requires custom plugin configuration)

You seem to have forgotten Xbox and XBLIG.

@Henry - Updated the Xbox 360, but TGB does not run on XBLIG. That's Torque X 2D. Thanks for the correction =)

Thats too bad - Android would be a great market, as its currently "untapped" ... everyone on the i-phone wagon or flash -- (it seems)

I did a quick look at the Android stuff. It says its based off C/C++ libraries and uses OpenGl ... running on a Linux kernel.

LINUX -- so maybe there is hope there ...

But I can't imagine how TGE could work on such a platform -- is the IPHONE version based off TGE or something more written from scratch ? Just seems like performance on such a small device would be horrible.

Anyone know from experience ?

iTGE is actually based on TGE which run no Linux.

The next iteration of iTGE, named iT3D I think, is based on T3D.

I'm impatiently waiting to see it out to evaluate its polish and performance.
