You can simply drag the slider up or down, depending on how often you want to be alerted.
If you drag it all the way down to the bottom, you’ll have disabled it entirely.

Windows 7 makes it much easier to deal with UAC settings, and in fact you don’t have to completely disable UAC if you don’t want to. Just type UAC into the start menu. You can simply drag the slider up or down, depending on how often you want to be alerted.

Can't say I've had any issues with UAC in win7, which is a pleasant change from vista ...

Or maybe it's something trivial that is also notified to the log file

Sorry, but you can not do debugging to trace the error?Or maybe it's something trivial that is also notified to the log file

a problem caused the program to stop working
windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
then it dont do crap after that just the same stuff
just a bit worried that i blew 1000$ on t3d for it to not work on windows 7 i dont know how to debug i dont know where to go to debug
its getin very irritating knowing that 1k might be down the drain
i just want to get it up and running it wont let me "play " "edit with world editor " "use gui editor " none of these features work
my drivers are all up to date im runing ati moblie radeon hd 5870 with windows 7 and intel core i7 processor i dont know what else to provide to make this t3d work its v1.01 btw

If I had to point the finger at one thing that is the issue with crashes and failures in video games and 3D applications in general it is ATI products. Their drivers are awful.
Of course for the project we are currently working on we have the luxury of defining the hardware that it will be run on so we are able to take ATI completely out of the equation.
Anyway perhaps learning a little bit about development and visual studio and Debugging we be in order first. Just a thought.

At our studio we ahve been using Windows 7 since the RTM without a single issue that can attributed to windows 7.

Let me just add that I've got a notebook with almost identical specs (but with the next step DOWN in ATI cards), and T3D runs fantastically. There must be some sort of bad driver issue at play here.

When running either the world editor or the Play Game option the new window claims that it has stopped working and needs to be closed.
I have updated my drivers to the latest provided by ATi so I am doubting it is a driver issue also considering the original poster reported this a year ago. Further the Play in Web option works entirely correctly. Please report back on this as it is entirely impeding my ability to use this product.
UAC options are also currently disabled so it is not that either and I am currently using DirectX 11.

Core i7 2600k, 8gb of ram, and (2) GTX 580's workbench is running torque fine on Windows 7 Professional 64bit, my anti virus tried stopping it but I fixed that.
I recommend also checking AV status make sure it isn't blocking it.
Regards

Turning off my AntiVirus did not work as well, looks like that is a dead end. This is starting to sound like something hardware related to this specific ATi card. :[

I was having the same issue but I found my culprit was that windows 7 updated my video driver for me and then it didnt work right anymore for my ati cards so i rolled the driver back to the proper one and never had another issue. Maybe some of you should check this solution.

so appearently after months of no solutions other pl have had same issues aswell.. ugh wish i could save up enough for unity3d from what i understand their support is unmatched and they do not charge $ 5,000 for 1 on 1 tech support. however for the $ of these engines even thoi purchased mine for over $ 1,000 back before all the recent crap i really wish garagegames would still help the individuals somehow who pay around 1,000 + $ for this stuff and dont recieve proper help :/Note*

I honestly think this is a hardware issue, we have the exact same system and neither of us can run the exact same functionality. GG is there anything you can do to help us out?

I'm running windows 7, and thus far ive not had any issues, but then the first thing i did after install was disable Microsofts ability to tell me what i can and cannot do with my own PC (UAC)
have you tried a recompile and/or running the debug version to see whats causing the crash.
