T3D1.1b and GMK 1.2.8 (possible Bug)

I have noticed a couple things that I am not sure if i installed incorrectly or its a bug.
first is the blue ball in entry hallway. player walks thru it with no collision. although it rolls and bounces around when first dropped into the hallway on mission load.
second is the sound. it disappears depending on your rotation. this happens with the blaster which should always be the same volume.
am I the only one having these issues?
EDIT: ok sound seems to be a basic issue in T3D1.1Beta. it does it in a unmodded mission.
