Hovervehicle crash

by Hilbert Reijngoudt · in Torque Game Engine · 03/28/2010 (9:47 am) · 7 replies

I'm experimenting with making a hovervehicle in TGE 1.5.2

I've got a datablock for the vehicle and if i use the standard buggy.dts as shapeFile everything's working fine. I decided to make a model of my own with MilkShape 3D 1.8.4, for now it's just a box with joints. I tried to use this as shapeFile and now TGE crashes. I've found a lot of tutorials about making models for TGE in MilkShape and exporting them to dts files but nothing seems to work. When i tried to load it in ShowTool Pro it worked just fine.

Can anybody help me out with this?

This is my first post here so i hope this is the right place for it:-)

you may want to look in the engine code for wheeled vehicles and vehicles to make sure your dts conforms to what the engine is looking for. Also, if your using Torsion, take a look at the console to see whats causing the crash as it most likely has something to do w/ the new dts. If you don't have Torsion...get Torsion.

Thanks!!

I will take a look at the engine code. Yes i'm using torsion, but i don't see an error in the console....

Thanks for the collision-1 idea, I'll try it out, I'm having the same problem in Torque 3d

Ye, All vehicles need at least 1 collision box, or it crashes.
