What are the basic steps to load a 3D level?

I'm trying to get a basic 3D level to load--I'm working from the example game. I'm not getting any error messages, just a blank colored background, so I think I'm just missing a few steps.
Can someone point me to a tutorial or some documentation, or just give me a list of the systems I need to start up?

You might want to post this in a section relevant to whichever engine you are using ;)

Whoops, that's odd, I didn't mean to post in this forum. We're using Torque 3D. I've tried finding different resources, but everything I've found looks incomplete.

First, your account owns no Torque products. We were told some testers and whatnot may not have T3D listed on their accounts, but your account also seems to be a blank shell.
Second, if you had a real copy of T3D, I can't think you'd be having this much trouble getting a simple example level to load. Maybe you're trying to do some kind of custom load system, or else you have a broken copy of T3D.
I don't mean to assume anything, you just haven't given us much to go on here. I'd be happy to help you out if you could explain your situation a bit better.

but...
i don't see that you own any registered products?
so its hard to know what you're trying to get working.
