Random crashes on new machine

I just got my new alienware aurora core i7 machine today and I installed purelight on it. To my dismay I found that the program crashes randomly while rendering lightmaps. This is bad as I bought the machine specifically for rendering lightmaps with purelight. Some more information:
OS: windows 7 home premium
CPU: core i7 920 @ 2.67 mhz
Ram: 9GB
purelight version: 3.3.0.0
In order to get the program to work I just downloaded it again from my torque account and used the same key I have on my laptop. I would transfer my license but I didn't know how so I just copied the key file and it loaded fine. Maybe this has something do do with the crashes?
If anyone could help me out with this that would be great.

No, all scenes cause occasional problems. Sometimes it renders pass one, but crashes on pass two. Sometimes it crashes very quickly, sometimes it takes a while. With the exact same scenes my laptop has never crashed.M

So pureLIGHT 3.3 works just fine on your laptop and not on the i7 machine? I'll have to do some testing on an i7 box here and get back to you.

If it still hasn`t crasshed by tomorrow I can investigate a bit more and maybe send you the ase of the object that screws up.

I think (fingers crossed) that it only crashes on certain objects. I disabled baking on some objects that i suspected causing the crash and it hasn`t crashed for a couple of hours now. If it still hasn`t crasshed by tomorrow I can investigate a bit more and maybe send you the ase of the object that screws up.

Have you have any success in narrowing down the problem to a particular mesh? If not, you can send us a copy of a scene that is causing the problem and we can investigate further.
