How do i get RTS Creature Pack to work with RTS Kit ?

I've probably cross posted on this issue a few times now ... But I wanted to be sure it wasn't something I did first.

To be sure -- I downloaded a fresh copy of RTS Kit and RTS Creature Pack.

So already I see (2) problems ...
(a) the RTS kit units all use built in animations not DSQ animations
(b) no directions on how to use this with RTS Kit

Anyhow, I did some test to try and make it work;

<EDIT: Ranting removed ... as fix was found quickly on the forums by searching for RTS Creature Pack.>

If anyone comes across this point with same issue -- follow this link for the directions.

you have to update the rts-sk's scripts in order to get the models working with the rts kit.

Don't know how much work I put into trying to figure out those scripts myself -- I had everything re-created from scratch except the proper loading/assignment of the animation files.

That should really be included in the kit -- I could have had a few days of my life back -- had it been. OR at least in the RTS Kit documentation zip that is included or such.

But anyhow, I'm very relieved to get this working --- thanks!!

if you search rts creature pack on the site you will see that the resource was mentioned the 2nd link.

and you can always email me or any other pack author :)

I appreciate your feedback -- wasn't trying to bash on your content pack itself, it is great and the animations look really cool with the new scripts in place.

And searching the forums for "RTS Creature pack" does quickly link to the directions.

But I just re-downloaded the Content pack ... and there is no "RTSCreaturePack Readme.rtf" file still. Its not in the RTS Kit documentation either. There is no mention anywhere besides the forums.

Personally, I'd suggest adding both the document and script installer into the download package. Then no more ranting "n00b" customers to bother you :O)
