Mac OSX Compatibility

We are currently having problems building on an iMac with OS X v10.5.8. For one, I assume we can't build a Mac version on a PC? Right now, Torque Tool crashes when building on the Mac due to an "Unexpected Error". Any idea what would cause that? Thanks!

Not trying to compile in XCode yet. When I'm creating a package(Happens on both Target Formats: Installer or Web) using Torque Tool I get a Error window popping up saying this:
"The application PackageMaker quit unexpectedly."
Then it goes on to say:
"Mac OS X and other applications are not affected. Click Relaunch to launch the application again. Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple."

I'll have to look at this tomorrow when I have time with my Mac. I don't recall having any problems when deploying the installer. I cannot remember if I have deployed a project to the web on my Mac, though.

Same problem here, I cannot get a fresh installation to build. And it should do by default and automatically...Please, take a close look and fix it. If you need more info, just ask for it here :)

Can anybody confirm if and how can a Mac user build the default installation of T3D binary, as a standalone and as a webplayer? I keep getting the same errors...David?

I will need to download an install Binary to test. I have Pro on my Mac at home. I had thought I had tried binary on the Mac, but I had not yet. I won't get to it until probably tomorrow night, though.

Oh man, I'm sorry. Out of sight, out of mind. I just put it on my task list, which is getting longer and longer with GDC looming.

Any advance yet?

I just saw I am not the only one with this exact problem. With this demo, I just get the same "get the plugin" message, but when I click on the button to load it just says it cannot found the .pkg:http://www.ubiqvisuals.com/demo/3daak_demo.html
Any advance yet?

I'll play with it some more tonight to see if I can glean what is going on.

I got a few minutes to do a couple of tests last night. I did not get it to work on the web with the binary or demo versions, and I believe that Ubique mentioned that they have not created a Mac version yet in their announcement topic.Quote:@ Glenn. We haven't yet compiled the demo for Mac. (I've been having some "mac issues" recently). I'll get back to you :)

Good to know you are looking at it, please make sure we Mac users are able to build to an app. too, not only a web player (I just cannot get it to work). Thanks.

The URL to the package installer seems to not be being generated correctly with the plugin deployment for the Mac whether playing in the web or packaging for the web currently.

I was mainly working with the package to web and play in web functionality. I'll try to check whether the build process for apps is having difficulty as well. I do not recall it not working, though, but I'll have to check. The URL to the package installer seems to not be being generated correctly with the plugin deployment for the Mac whether playing in the web or packaging for the web currently.

I am back from GDC and getting caught up with being gone for a week as well as other responsibilities. I'll try to get a look at the project generator tonight or tomorrow night to see if it fails when generating core projects or only with the web projects.
