Radiant Gurus Needed

I am very close to releasing the first alpha of q32dif and would like to release some cool sample content with it. If you are good with radiant (and bezier patches in particular) cook something up for me that uses the evil1 textures and I will include it with the release. Open air buildings or structures are best for TGE. I am really looking for something to showcase the new curve handling so be sure to have plenty of bezier patches.

Quark or Radiant or any other Quake 3 .map editor is fine =)

I just wanted this to be clear to anyone who wanted to use Radiant for their development.

FYI: This is the reply I receieved when I approached id software about their licenses for Radiant:Quote:
Commercial Radiant licenses start at $5,000. Since that's about the same price as a decent work-station caliber computer, I don't believe that the license fee is an impediment to any serious commercial development team.

But anyhow, you can also use QOOLE to build levels; although I think the authors discontinued work on it.... (This is gpl also..)

I'm guessing this includes (speaking in terms of the ID license) the open source freeware program QERadiant? Since even that's built on the ID tools..But anyhow, you can also use QOOLE to build levels; although I think the authors discontinued work on it.... (This is gpl also..)

* Commercial use requires a License from Id Software, which can be obtained independently from any engine License. See Id Software Technology Licensing page for more information.

Yes, you can't use Radiant at all for commercial use, the only stuff you can use from id is their converting tool. That's all, so you'll have to go with quark, didnt know quark handles bezier patches too.

As you may or may not know Radiant's motto is "By the community, for the community"
I thought this was cool... it's in regards to one Radiant user being enlightened on commercial usage of the tool:
I don't necessarily think the logic is all that great... but I do like the outcome... :)

There's nothing like getting ridiculed by Radiant users for posting contract work using Quark. As you may or may not know Radiant's motto is "By the community, for the community"

Quote:So much for "by the community, for the community" it would seem, anyway. Nothing that has that motto on it and has restrictive usage terms can be considered anything but hypocritical. Now I'm actually seriously considering switching to Quark.

Why not just whip something up in QuArK?
