private or bug forums for rts kit ?

Is this the only forum for the RTS kit ... I keep seeing references to the private forum and the bug forums.

Yes this is the only RTS kit forum. Those would be references you see are to the old layout of the site. At the beginning of last year the site was redesigned and streamlined into the layout you see today. Those forums were merged into this one.

thanks - it all makes a bit more sense now.
