Particles seem to be causing the game to freeze/blackscreen STILL

Getting ready to release my game tomorrow we did some testing today with 4 people in multiplayer and everyone's game is freezing when a weapon with a particle emitter behind it is released. Early in the game this wasnt happening but as the game progressed, it seemed like it was happening more and more to everyone in the server. Im guessing particles arent getting cleaned up in memory and its causing the game to freeze or blackscreen. You can fix the blackscreen by going out of game (getting the window out of view) and going back in.
I am really desperate to get this bug fixed so if anyone wants to try my game to see this issue please contact me. This is not a bug with my game it is a bug with T3D that others have had and reported on this forum.

Test disabling the particles on that projectile to be sure.
I suspect its actually the decal bug that may be your issue and not the particles. There was a forum fix for that, but i'm not seeing it now.

There are no decals attached to any projectiles and that fix was already applied. I will try getting rid of the particles from the projectiles and do a profile and port back.

The game froze, and then after a few seconds (5-10) the screen turned black and then came back on. It was almost like they restarted because he told me the fans kicked into high speed and then the monitor came back on.
We were able to get a profile dump that starts just as the screen goes black and stops after the system was stable again.

If this was of any help to anyone please let me know.

I complained about an issue just like that(black screen w/ hyper fan(s)). Adam posted in that very thread with another odd issue that I have seen: scene/level rendered with the normal maps appearing as if they were in the diffuse channel with 0.01 fps (on the occurrences I have had..it lasts about 15 minutes and then the system comes back).- I'll sthu and hope this goes somewhere. ;)

Haven't seen that bug in 1.1a. Did run into it a few times back in 1.01 though (the freezing and fans kick in like a bat out of hell).

Ok here is a second profile of this issue happening. I started to profile before this issue happened, about 3 seconds later it froze and black screened and then I stopped the profile after my screen came back.ignition-games.com/profilerDumpToFile1003938.txt

I will come back to this thread every day that I use T3D where I experience this issue on any of my computers...to keep a log in 1 place.
Now remember, I am not currently using T3D often...however, I will be using it daily within a week or 2.
My GPU and CPU are as cold as ice and extremely clean(no dust). Plz do not blame heat.

I am not using T3D often, but today I am using it to gather the material.cs information to create a material exporter for 3dsmax. T3D has caused the black screen and hyper fan issue 3 times this morning while simply editing materials in T3D in the FPS blank mission.I will come back to this thread every day that I use T3D where I experience this issue on any of my computers...to keep a log in 1 place.

Might be useful to post your specs here too, then.
If your GPU is cool but your fan is going mental ... what (if any) heat/fan control or overclocking software do you have?
My GTS250 (with extra big fan) exhibits no different behaviour with T3D from any other graphically intensive game I've tested. Up to and around 70C->70%fan. No additional software, just a passive heat/fan monitor desktop widget. Latest Nvidia drivers.

I have a scene with thousands of projectiles, particle emitters..,the render drops at 2 fps,but it is stable.
XP, ati 3870, very old drivers

Sounds like a driver related issue.I have a scene with thousands of projectiles, particle emitters..,the render drops at 2 fps,but it is stable.

..however.. I can't be bothered to waste my time on this. I am ordering a new card. If it wasn't the card, then more people would have the issue.
I just feel bad for people who own GTS250's from XFX. Hopefully they aren't all junk.
EDIT:
I have to add this:
This card has ran new games with high-ish/maxed settings just fine.
I have ran 3dmarkvantage nearly 9 times with decent system results.
I use 3dsMax daily..some scenes are over 2Mil tris..and I fly through editing and creating as if it were all "BUTTER".
Not sure what to think..but I will get a new card anyways.

I haven't run into this issue myself, but then I haven't been stressing the particle system very heavily, so I can't really provide any especially helpful feedback.
