Why hasen't the MBO editor been released?

Why isn't it being released? Even if you want to still sell it ($500 or $1000/copy would be good), it shouldn't have an NDA and other things protecting it, as well as a outrageous $50,000 price tag. Also, many members of the MB community could make new things and I'm sure this would start up a lot of interest. Also, if your trying to keep IA un-hackable, this won't matter. The editor is very different I think than what I have seen in the IA folder. Hey, and this could make a lot of money! Enough reasons to release?

No, I mean the one Matan and Hikaru have. I thought also all IA staff have it, as well as the editors for other games there.www.youtube.com/user/IsraeliRedDragon#p/u/41/XTUdWLt8JRU

For now, go enjoy your holidays. Happy gaming, and Happy Christmas.

Ah, I see what you mean now. I recognize the names, as they are our biggest MB supporters (beyond just playing). I do not know the full story behind the editors, but I'll try to contact someone at InstantAction to see if they have a good answer. I can definitely say that the people with access are under a strict NDA, as this might have something to do with the IA plugin (which has that high license cost). For now, go enjoy your holidays. But why hasn't it been released, at a reasonable price? I think it would make a lot of productivity ;)

Anyway, the Editor is NOT AVAILABLE for public use due to the NDA (as Michael said). If you want an Editor for Marble Blast, then purchase Marble Blast Gold. It comes with an inbuilt Level and GUI editors, source scripts (.cs format, not c++) and has thousands of levels released to it. If you want the Editor to look more MBO-like, go grab TGEA.
Again, apologizes for the joke, but please look around and search more rather than deciding that just because one comment of mine out of dozens (that say the same thing) is the truth.

I'm constantly getting surprised (yet always getting the usual laugh) when people decide that the MBO Editor costs $50k. I'll admit, this is a foolish joke on my part, but the amusing bit is that despite dozens of posts and comments on the IA Forums, YouTube and Marbleblast.com stating why people can't have the editor, they somehow ignore all that and concentrate on my joke comment which was something along the lines of: "got it for $25k, half price!". I'm still laughing (along with Farhan), despite the foolishness. Why do people ignore all that, I still wonder.Anyway, the Editor is NOT AVAILABLE for public use due to the NDA (as Michael said). The editors are not released to a select few for recreational purposes. Sure, they are fun to work with, but the main goal is getting feedback and studying how to improve the editors and game play. For purely recreational usage, Matan's suggestion of Marble Blast Gold + Constructor is a good one.

@Matan - Thanks for jumping in with the additional insight. I thought it was odd someone came up with a $50K price tag for editors. The only things we offer at those prices are console licenses for Torque and certain tiers of our IA plugin. The editors are not released to a select few for recreational purposes. Ok, so you are planning on releasing another build?
Oh, and I use MBG + Constructor :P I just wondered what I could do if I could make some Multi Player maps :( MBG doesn't have that feature, or the UB/MM, or MP maps with gem spawns.

@Karin - I'm not a part of the game studio or platform team, so I cannot speak about their plans.
