How do we make TorqueX work with VS c# 2008 instead of 2005?

the current version is TX 3.1 for XNA GS 3.1. You have the old free version (this based on your other post) which is no good. You have to use the current version.

I am not sure how many times I need to say this, I PAID for Torque X back in the day, I have a Torque Builder Key (NOT Free to get this), I own the product, I was an early adopter, I have no way to download the latest version, and i have no phone number to call them to straighten this out. I have sent in emails to sales/support and don't know when they will get around to looking at it, but I need to get this fixed.

Well, that version is the old one and is no good to work with the current system. I'm not sure if you can upgrade it or you have to buy the current version (3.1.4.0).

Either way, you would need the 'pro' version of TX - the one with the source code - if you are to download the latest version of TX at no additional charge. If you do not have the source code version then you'll have to contact GG about upgrading.

Here is a list of all my products and again I PAID into the early adopter for the Torque X, I had to have TGB Pro to get Torque X, it didn't come free, and since it was back in 2007, I don't have access to the bank receipt of the charge.

The current TX 2D is a source code version, not a binary version though. You haven't paid for source code, so you'll need to upgrade/buy the latest version.

Okay I can see what's going on now, I had the same version of TX as you have at the moment. It was basically a freebie for people who had TGB back then. You didn't pay for TX, you paid for TGB and got TXB free to use with the free binary version of TX.The current TX 2D is a source code version, not a binary version though. Alternatively I believe there is a free binary version for xna club members and also a trial version available that will work with VS 2008.

I am a premium CC member and darn near own everything Torque, always hop on top of the pre-releases when they are available and always grab the early adopter stuff.

2) It's binary only, so you cannot apply the needed patches to the InputMap class to comply with the Evil Checklist tests.

Hmmm looking at my downloads, I will have to grab it from there when that gets refreshed, thanks for the heads up, so much to learn on the new kit, I should have asked to buy a pc laptop with xp pro instead of windows 7sigh

AFAIK there is no way to get XP anymore ;) If you want to properly target the Xbox 360 platform you'll need the Pro version anyway, so the CC version (when available) will disappoint you. If you're targeting the PC platform then you may use the CC binary version using XNA GS 3.0.

So what you are saying is that when TorqueX 3.1 finally shows up in to be downloaded from CC, it still won't work to deploy to a XBOX 360? I have XNA GS 3.1 installed and have it with C# 2008 and write stuff between those, I have the TorqueX 3.0 now to help make the packeges quicker but I know I can't deploy those since CC requires the 3.1 checks and am waiting on CC to allow TorqueX 3.1 to be available for download, but if I understand you right, this won't matter even when 3.1 is available because at the core it is still broke?
