Annoyed...

Well, I was hoping to buy AFX after I bought TGE but sadly, with the release of AFX 2.0, the original AFX has gone. Now I'm expected to pay more just because a new release is out. I'm very annoyed.

I would probably be annoyed too, but I don't think it's unusual for companies to stop selling old products once they release an update. Case in point, I wouldn't mind buying a less expensive older version of Maya, but Autodesk won't sell me one. And it's also the case that the lowest priced version of Maya is now much more expensive than it used to be.

In the case of AFX 2.0, it's not just a version change from 1 to 2, AFX 2.0 includes a significant number of new features and the equivalent of a large new spellpack of additional effects. In other words, you get a lot of added value from the price increase.
