code blocks both word-wrap and extend text out of the visible region

this is the worst of both worlds.
i would request never doing any word-wrapping.
also, i don't think the line numbers and the green bar at the left are particularly helping anyone.

it looks like it may be the slash "/" which is triggering the wrap.
