How's the documetation?... Workflow?... Any technical or workflow reason why it wouldn't be a no-brainier to upgrade from TGEA to T3D?...

For me I guess the best reason would be because of the new editors, collada support and model viewing/editing ability. Its mainly an art pipeline thingy. My artists have finally stopped trying to kill me and thats a relief !
Script/engine wise i currently prefer TGEA/AFX due to more resources, but that might change in the future as resources get ported over. Maybe once i get more experienced with T3D, the documentation is more fleshed out, explaining new script features etc in detail i might prefer T3D.
But seriously, the new editors are really really great even to me :P

I don't see why you would wait for 1.1 to upgrade, outside of money being an issue, it's stable as it is. Sure there are some bugs, but I haven't encountered anything crippling much less anything to classify it as not stable.

Scott speaks sense again - if the tools work, getting started building now is a good idea if money isn't the issue. It'll take a while to build a game, and you can use the 1.1 engine when it's released. Maybe you won't find any bugs that affect you, either :)

1.0.1 is out. I would highly recommend it Duey. Good luck!
