[1.0 bug] particle editor GUI bug, probably other editors as well

short story:
it looks to me like many slider/number-entry combo-widgets in the world editor
do not respect values entered in the number-entry portion of the widget,
only those 'entered' via the slider portion.
repro:
with the T3D SDK 1.0,
i launch desert o' death,
press F11, press F5,
and get a nice particle emitter.
click over to the "particle" tab,
and down in the "overtime" section attempt to set the particles to constant size:
ie, click in the number-entry field for "size 1", enter "0.4" and [TAB].
do the same for size 2,3,4, and notice no change in the particles.
ditto acceleration etc.
shirley i can't be the first person to encounter this, so apologies for what's likely a dupe.
