Alright here is the high res object 500 or so triangles.

I am going to make a normal map for the books and the architecture of the shelf in order to reduce pollies. The issue I have is the book that is turned to the side. No matter what this will haft to be an independent cube right?

I suspect after the normal map I can just make one long cub for most of the books.

Leave the book case shape as it is and once you have in place where you want and how many books, then model in a simple boxy covering and slap a texture on it instead of doing individual box objects.
