Any and all feedback is welcome here. It need not be fanboish, but we love glowing praise too :)

edit:
Not that I really care about the broken forum now, considering I don't use it anymore.
It's more to get some kind of confidence in GG back, because right now it looks to me like a bunch of amateurs that made a nice company together and made people pay for a beta to get money to actually develop that beta: between the broken forum thread that never got any reply, the documentation thread that's just a joke and the way of reporting bugs through here, I get the feeling a bunch of opensource projects with no $$ are done in a much more professional way than this.
(and yes, that means I won't go praise anything in that topic, I'm not part of your marketing team)

Not to bitch, but can you also pay a little attention to that poor thread that says the forum is broken?edit:

You guys really need to submit T3D to their database as a separate engine than whats already listed. Many people use that and only having TGE kinda gives a false/bad impression.

posted my thoughts over there. on edit:

I think GarargeGames could help themselves more by trying to please their existing users than by trying to grab up new users.
I am sure they are trying to do that but it might not always seem like that and I am just saying this to try and help others see where the frustration of some users is coming from.
Looking forward to coming good things.

I can sympathize with Michael. I find that particular forum bug annoying... more annoying since the documentation is so incomplete at the moment. But maybe I am a little more patient than he is and don't play the squeaky wheel. I do not question Michael's complaint, nor it's validity. I question the need to state something numerous times, and then to post three times in a thread that has nothing to do with his topic, let alone a topic he has no intention of taking part in, beyond sarcasm.
It's not personal as I'm sure he's a good guy and everyone get's frustrated at some point. But enough already lol.

The documentation is incomplete.. but then so is the engine it's written about. Kinda makes sense in a way maybe?

More publicity equals more sales equals more money for more employees which equals more people fixing and writing what needs done. More users equals more people part of the community helping everyone else.

Sorry if my posts are not all 100% fanboy (and I wouldn't have to post here if people from GG replied on the right threads)
And if you don't want me to discuss it here, why would you mention the documentation and such?
09/10/2009 (1:17 pm)
Well the staff mention wasn't to "obsess", I was just pointing the fact some staff from that forum was finding the thread suspicious, but sure next time I'll just say nothing and e-mail that staff guy to tell him it's a spam bot... (that'd be obsessing)Sorry if my posts are not all 100% fanboy (and I wouldn't have to post here if people from GG replied on the right threads)

Of course, but I am only suggesting that there is no better publicity than the word-of-mouth of satisfied customers (even better if it is unsolicited, but I am not saying that Brett shouldn't have pointed out that devmaster thread to us, just that it would be ideal if it arose more organically so-to-speak. It perhaps would not have caused that suspicion from that devmaster staff member.), and perhaps no worse publicity than the complaints from dissatisfied customers who may feel ( whether it is actually the case or just an appearance to their perceptions ) that the company is more interested in those sales than in helping their existing users.

Good point Gerry, and well said, though I think DevMaster is a place that could assist other GG dev's (any other Dev's really).

And in the interest of full disclosure and fair dealing and the like ( not that I feel anyone here or there is being dishonest in any way... ) I should point out that I am torqueuser over on that devmaster forum. And what I just said there should let everyone here know how I feel about this place.
